“One City, Many Stories”

Completing the Summer Reading Challenge is easy AND fun!

Please join Hartford Public Library on Saturday, June 7 for their kick-off to the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge! We're joining the Hartford Public Library in celebrating the start of summer learning with a parade around the Downtown Library Branch (500 Main Street) and a festival of family-friendly activities.

The event begins at 12:00 pm, and it will be followed by live entertainment, face painting, balloon twisting, ice cream, games, activities and more! You can find out more information about the event here. The theme this year is, “One City, Many Stories” which highlights the beautiful diversity of our city; you can visit each library branch this summer for a different activity about diversity!
