How To Apply

Hartford and suburban students in the Greater Hartford Region may apply to Environmental Sciences Magnet School at Mary Hooker by completing and timely submitting a RSCO common application.

Families interested in attending ESM may apply through the lottery conducted by the Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) by selecting "Magnet School" on the RSCO application. Students entering Pre K three through grade eight are eligible to participate.

Parents are encouraged to complete the RSCO application online and keep a copy of the application they submit. During the application period the application will be available here. If you wish to apply online but need to use a computer visit the school or RSCO during business hours.
